EVIL ENERGY Fuel Filter Bracket and Fuel Pump Clamp

A loose external fuel pump or inline filter can create vibration, unwanted noise, hose movement, and stress around fuel-system connections. This EVIL ENERGY Fuel Filter Bracket uses an aluminum clamp and rubber insert to secure compatible cylindrical components while reducing direct metal contact. It is designed for experienced DIY builders, professional installers, engine swaps, custom fuel cells, and modified fuel systems that require a 50 mm or 60 mm mounting solution.

Choose the Correct Fuel Filter Mounting Bracket Size

Measure the outside diameter of the fuel filter or external pump at the exact position where the bracket will be installed. Do not choose the bracket by AN fitting size, hose diameter, or product name alone.

  • 50 mm bracket: Fits approximately 50 mm with the rubber insert or 55 mm without the insert.
  • 60 mm bracket: Fits approximately 60 mm with the rubber insert or 65 mm without the insert.

The rubber insert reduces the available inside diameter. Keep the insert installed when vibration isolation and surface protection are required.

Compatible Fuel-System Applications

The Fuel Filter Mounting Bracket can be used with compatible inline filters, while the same cylindrical clamp design can function as a Fuel Pump Clamp for an externally mounted pump within the stated diameter range.

  • Inline fuel-filter mounting
  • External electric fuel-pump mounting
  • Custom fuel-cell installations
  • EFI conversions and engine swaps
  • Modified street and performance fuel systems

This is not a vehicle-specific bracket. Confirm component diameter, available mounting space, fitting clearance, hose routing, and electrical-terminal access before ordering.

Fuel Pump Clamp securing an external electric fuel pump to a mounting surface
Use the clamp only with an external pump whose body diameter matches the selected bracket.

Aluminum Clamp with Rubber Vibration Isolation

The aluminum-alloy body provides a rigid mounting structure, while the rubber insert helps reduce metal-to-metal contact and vibration transfer. It may also help limit surface marking on the pump or filter housing.

The insert does not eliminate all operating noise. Pump condition, inlet restriction, mounting location, fuel level, wiring voltage, and contact with surrounding parts can also affect noise.

The rubber insert helps isolate the mounted component from the aluminum clamp.

Check Before Ordering

  • Measure the pump or filter outside diameter.
  • Choose the 50 mm or 60 mm bracket according to the measurement.
  • Decide whether the rubber insert will be used.
  • Check clearance around fittings, hoses, and electrical terminals.
  • Confirm that the mounting surface is rigid and accessible.
  • Keep the bracket away from exhaust heat and moving components.
  • Confirm whether additional vehicle-specific bolts, nuts, or a mounting plate are required.

This Fuel Pump Clamp is a practical option when the component diameter matches and a serviceable external mounting point is available. It is not suitable for an in-tank fuel pump or a component outside the selected diameter range.

If you need further information or assistance, feel free to ask!

Q: How do I choose between the 50mm and 60mm Fuel Filter Bracket?
A: Measure the outside diameter of the fuel filter or external fuel pump at the exact clamping position. Choose the 50mm bracket for components near 50mm with the rubber insert, or the 60mm bracket for components near 60mm with the insert.

Q: What size does the bracket fit without the rubber insert?
A: The 50mm bracket fits components up to approximately 55mm without the insert, while the 60mm bracket fits components up to approximately 65mm without the insert. Measure the component before ordering.

Q: Is the bracket size based on the fuel-line or AN fitting size?
A: No. Fuel Filter Mounting Bracket size is based on the outside diameter of the filter or pump body. AN6, AN8, and AN10 fitting sizes do not determine which bracket size is required.

Q: Can this Fuel Filter Bracket also be used as a Fuel Pump Clamp?
A: Yes. It can secure a compatible externally mounted fuel pump when the pump body diameter falls within the selected bracket range. It is not intended for an in-tank fuel pump.

Q: Is this a vehicle-specific mounting bracket?
A: No. This is a universal-style Fuel Filter Mounting Bracket. Fitment depends on the component diameter, mounting clearance, hose routing, fitting position, electrical terminals, and available mounting surface.

Q: What is the purpose of the rubber insert?
A: The rubber insert helps reduce metal-to-metal contact, vibration transfer, surface marking, and some operating noise. It also reduces the usable inside diameter of the bracket.

Q: Will the rubber insert completely eliminate fuel-pump noise?
A: No. The insert may reduce transferred vibration, but external pump noise can also be affected by pump condition, fuel level, inlet restriction, clogged filters, voltage, mounting location, and contact with nearby parts.

Q: Does the Fuel Pump Clamp include the fuel pump or fuel filter?
A: No. The package includes the selected aluminum bracket and rubber insert. The fuel pump, fuel filter, lines, fittings, mounting plate, and vehicle-specific hardware are not included unless specifically shown.

Q: Are mounting bolts included?
A: Confirm the selected package before ordering. Additional bolts, nuts, washers, threaded inserts, or a vehicle-specific mounting plate may be required for the intended installation surface.

Q: Where should the bracket be installed?
A: Mount it to a rigid and accessible surface away from exhaust heat, moving suspension or drivetrain components, road debris, and impact areas. Make sure hoses, fittings, and electrical connections are not under tension.

Q: How tight should the Fuel Filter Bracket be?
A: Tighten it enough to prevent the component from rotating or sliding, but do not overtighten it. Excessive clamping force may deform a filter housing, damage the rubber insert, or place stress on the pump body.

Q: Can the bracket be installed directly over fittings or end caps?
A: No. Install the bracket around a straight cylindrical section of the pump or filter body. Avoid clamping over fittings, end caps, seams, electrical terminals, labels that must remain visible, or tapered sections.

Q: What should I check after installation?
A: Confirm that the pump or filter cannot rotate or slide, the bracket does not contact nearby parts, hoses are not kinked, electrical terminals remain accessible, and all fuel connections stay dry when the system is pressurized.

Q: Can one Fuel Pump Clamp hold both a pump and a filter?
A: No. Each external pump or inline filter should normally use its own correctly sized bracket so that both components are independently supported and serviceable.
