- Sealing: The AN thread of the flare is sealed by a 37 degree angle and the NPT is sealed with a 60 degree tapered.It is highly recommended to use sealant or PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene tape) at the NPT port.

Don’t be fooled by other cheap Chinese hose lines. These EVIL fuel lines comp in nice professional packaging and have the hose ends taped off to prevent splaying. I have purchased other 6an hoses before and they were much unnecessarily fatter inside the steel sleeve. The ID bore is also more consistent than cheap Chinese alternatives on Amazon. Super easy to Install fittings to line using this trick
I was initially frustrated by the outer jacket fraying during installation but this technique works great and makes these sleeved lines even easier to work with than plain old stainless lines.1. Saturate a half inch band of braid with plain super glue and let dry.2. Cut through the middle of the super glue area with a hack saw or band saw - no need to tape.3. Clean up the end with nippers. I went all the way around and made a 45 degree chamfer to make entry to the fitting easier..4. Clamp hose in vice, lube with silicon grease and drive on fitting with an impact driver and 3/4" Socket.5. Lube and screw on the end with a 3/4" flare wrench.The included fittings of nice quality.The Kit has a complete variety of fittings and is an excellent value.

Excellent quality item, very good fit
I wanted to replace the 1985 Toyota fuel line with an AN-6 flare fitting set up with SS Braided. Tip. Snug down the fittings tight, then come back after several minutes and snug them down again. The compression to the flare relaxes a bit, and you will find you can tighten it up another half turn comfortably. If you fail to do this, expect leaks, which is how I found this out.
